Parowan's strong points included in-cluded their routine styling and their uniforms.- They received re-ceived many compliments on these from the crowd and the Cougarettes. More important, the participation was a wonderful won-derful learning situation for the girls. The Rammettes will next compete in the Dixie Invitational Invita-tional Meet in St. George on April 19. They will be in competition com-petition with from 35 to 50 schools there. They are also planning to attend the BYU Invitational meet set for April Ap-ril 25 and 26. Rammettes enter Beaver marching event The Marching Rammettes of Parowan High School traveled trav-eled to Beaver on Saturday where they entered into com- j petition for the first time. 21 girls, Mrs. Gary Bentley, instructor; in-structor; her daughter Christine, Chris-tine, and training teacher, Carol Farnsworth, accompanied accompan-ied the group. The group spent all day in Beaver. They had a ten-min-j ,ute warm-up period in the Beaver High Gym. A street parade was held, but as the Y Cougarettes weren't present for that, no judging was done. Other contest events were held in the gym. Only one trophy was awarded and this went to |
