Show Cedar High School - a progress report sistent problems sucn as aui-omobile aui-omobile truancy, how do you motivate students, how do we find the funds to try a new program or improve others, how can we get students to accept more responsibility for j learning. The high school is -truly an i interesting place to visit. Why 1 don't you make an appointment appoint-ment to visit and learn more about, the program. By Supt. Joe Reidhead We have been in the new building just over five years. Enrollment has increased from 512 to 600. Dropouts have been reduced and attendance has increased. Advanced courses in most areas are a-vailable. a-vailable. Ten percent of the 1968 graduating class received college credit from these courses. This spring the fifth graduating class will have graduated from the new building. build-ing. Many new programs have been implemented, some have been discontinued. Many compliments com-pliments have been given and considerable criticisms have been considered. Many people are working to improve the quality of the course content. The schedule in use Is designed design-ed to allow students and teachers optimum amounts of time for courses. Many areas of the curriculum provide students stu-dents with a choice of course content in a given area. Vocational Vo-cational education has developed devel-oped into one of the largest and finest programs in the state. People from all over the world have visited the school, teams have evaluated, and the staff has compared. The Kettering Foundation has praised the program and stimulated stim-ulated new ideas.
