Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed bids will be received by the State Road Commission of Utah, Room 608 State Of-ice Of-ice Buil-ling, alt Lake City, Utah, until 2 o'clock p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 1971, and at that time publicly opened for construction of A Bituminous Surfaced Roadway in Iron County, the same toeing that section of Interstate Highway No. 15 From Hamilton Fort to North Cedar, identified as Federal Aid Project No. 1-15-2-(18)52. The length of road to be constructed or improved is 10.767 miles, and the principal princi-pal items of work are approximately approx-imately as follows: 4290 Tons of Bituminous Material, 58,000 Tons of Plant Mix Bituminous Seal Coat-Type "B" and 15,-180 15,-180 Gallons of Rubber Latex Additive. The project Is to toe completed in 150 working days. Prequalification of bidders is required. Prior to any bidder bid-der . receiving plans and specifications, spe-cifications, it will be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commission Commis-sion of Utah completed and approved, the required Prequalification Pre-qualification Statement pertaining per-taining to contractor's experience exper-ience and financial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to the Special Provisions Pro-visions covering subletting or assigning the contract. In conformity with the Federal-aid Highway Act of 1968 the U. S. Department of Labor has certified the wage, rates for the project which are the minimum wages to be paid on this project. These rates are made a part of the contract documents. The attention of bidders Is directed to the fact that this Commission has been advised by the Wage and Hour Division, Divi-sion, U. S. Department of La-nor, La-nor, the contractors engaged In highway construction work are required to meet the provisions pro-visions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, (52 Stat. 1060). The State Highway Department, Depart-ment, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252) and the Regulations Regula-tions of the Department of Commerce (15 C.F.R. Part 8), Issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that It will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement advertise-ment will be awarded to the lowest responsibile bidder without discrimination on the ground of race, color, or national na-tional origin. Proposal forms, plans, and specifications are on file In the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer at Cedar City, Utah where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Specifications, Speci-fications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained only at the Commission Offices at Salt Lake Citv. uoon aDDlica- tion and payment of a fee of $10.00. no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety company on forms provided pro-vided by the Commission; or In lieu thereof, cash, certified check, or cashkr's check for not less than 5 of the total amount of the bid, made payable pay-able to the State Road Commission, Com-mission, as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder bid-der will execute the contract and furnish the contract bonds as required.
