Show Delta in Division Lead, Parowan, Beaver in Second TEAM STANDINGS Delta 2 0 1.000 Parowan 1 1 .500 Beaver 1 1 .500 Milford 1 2 .333 Millard 1 2 .333 After three rounds of basketball bas-ketball play in the Northern Division of Region Eight, the Delta Rabbits are the only undefeated un-defeated team in the league, with Parowan and Beaver in a tie for second place with 1 and 1 records and Milford and Millard on the bottom with 1 and two records. And this came as quite a surprise to many, especially the up-state pickers, who missed on both games last Friday. With Parowan turning the tables on Milford by a 66 to 64 score on the Milford floor and Beaver winning its first league game since 1967, at the expense of Millard, the race turned into a tight one that could go right down to the wire, although Delta is in the favored spot at this time. In this Friday's round of play, the Rabbits will be favored fav-ored to remain in the undefeated unde-feated ranks with their game with the Milford Tigers set for the Delta court, and The Parowan team has a good opportunity to take over undisputed un-disputed second place in the race by reason of their big win over Milford at Milford, and with their next game at home against Beaver. But Beaver has the same opportunity to take over second sec-ond spot by downing the Parowan Par-owan team, and will be out to do it. In this game Coach Elliott El-liott Jordon's team will have a height advantage over the Beavers, who still can't get to six feet. But they have Bill Carter, the leading scorer in Region 8 with a game point average of 28, and Marshall, who is in the first 15 with a lj.o point average. To counter act this Jordan has the third highest scorer in the region, Kevin Robinson with at 21.5 average and the height and potential rebounding rebound-ing strength in Robbie Topham Top-ham at 6-C, who also has a 1 i point scoring average. Parowan should be favored slightly with its height and homo floor advantage in this one but has to contend with the speed and hustle of the Beaver team which registered a two point, 67 to 65 win over Millard at Beaver on Friday night.
