Show C S U Wrestlers Defeated By Snow College Snow College wrestlers of Ephraim, Utah handed Col-logo Col-logo of Southern Utah wrestlers wrest-lers th.oir third defeat in a row Saturday, January 11 m a 201G downing. CSU looked strong In the lower weights even with two top wrestlers out with Injures, Injur-es, Bruce Peterson at 115 and Clyde Hardy at 130 pounds, as they took four of the first seven matches, two of which were pins. Snow came on -strong and took all tour of the upper weight groups with three pins and a decision. Barry Dunford of Snow took the 115 pound class with a 4-0 decision over Brent Dean of CSU. Paul Logue, CSU, tied up the score with a 6-0 decision decis-ion over Berry Erickson of Snow in the 123 class. With Clyde Hardy out, CSU had to forfeit the 130 pound class, but Bruc. Douglas, CSU, fjot the five points back with a pin on Dennis Bishop of Snow with 1:09 left In the third round. Jay Bowcutt, CSU, at 145 put CSU ahead with a pin on Harr Roberts of Snow with 2:05 left in the third round- Bill Dahike put up three for Snow by tak. ing a very close, 2-1, over Neil Callister of CSU in the 152 pound class. Bob Douglas's, CSU, 6-0 decision de-cision over Bob Crump in the 160 class put CSU ahead 16-11 and was the last score for CSU. Snow's Lee Hunsaker, 167, put a pin on Brent Adams with 1:21 left in the second period. At 177 pounds, it proved to be a great match but Alan Rudder of Snow was able to get a 10-7 decision on Marty Taggert of CSU. Th, second period was the ending point for CSU's 191 and heavy weight as Vance Casperson, Snow, pined Ron Parker with :34 left in the period and Carl Wilkenson, Snow, pined Gary Fullmer with :46 left in the period. CSU returns the match with one at Snow Thursday at 1 p.m. and then return home for a match with Ft. Lewis Saturday Sat-urday at 2 p.m. in ths field-house. |
