Show Freshmen students encouraged to register before Sept. 1 at SUSC Freshmen planning to attend at-tend Southern Utah State College Col-lege this fall are urged to make applications before September 1. "Even thougn we will process pro-cess applications after that dat there Is a good chance that the assigned advisors wont have time to personally contact the students," said Yvonne Hoff, SUSC admissions officer. If application is made soon students will be assigned advisors ad-visors from tlheir listed major field of interest who can help clear up problems and questions ques-tions new students have. Advisors Ad-visors are also instrumental in helping the now student plan his class schedule and prepare his major field of study. Students who haven't chosen chos-en a major yet will be assigned assign-ed "general" advisors. Freshmen orientation will begin Monday, Sept. 25 at 7:30 a.m. in the SUSC auditorium; freshmen registration will be-gin be-gin that same day at 12:30 p.m. in the fieldhouse. Monday even'ing a get-acquainted dance will be held. Tuesday morning the Cedar City Chamber of Commerce Will host a breakfast for new students In the cafeteria beginning be-ginning at 7 a.m. Classwork for all students will begin Wednesday, Sept. Scores of the American College Col-lege Test (ACT) are required) for acceptance to SUSC. The test will be given for those who haven't taken it Saturday, Satur-day, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m., Room 302 Old Main. Cost for this test is $7.50. The CLEP (College Level Examination Program) test will be given Saturday, Sept. 16 at 8:30 a.m. in the Health and Counseling Building. Pre-registration Pre-registration is required for the credit by examination test; interested persons should contact the Health and Coun-seling Coun-seling Department for more information. Mrs. Hoff urges students to make sure they have been ac cepted; if there are any questions ques-tions they should contact the .,.
