Show Third Ward youth spend weekend at Glen Canyon Dam Thirty of the young people from Parowan Third Ward including a number of parents, par-ents, spent last Friday and Saturday at Lake Powell on a sightseeing trip under the sponsorship of the ward MIA organization. After arriving at the lake on Friday, they made an extensive ex-tensive boat trip, in boats furnished by members of the ward, to the Rainbow Natural Bridge, then spent the night back at the dam area.. Saturday, Satur-day, they spent water skiing with all taking part, and then made a guided tour of the Glen Canyon Dam and power plant before coming home on Saturday. Making the trip were the following ward members, led by Bishop Val Hyatt Bentley and members of his family, VaLyn and Charla; Julie Bent-ley, Bent-ley, Roy Benson and son Michael, Mich-ael, and Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Adams of the bishopric; Mr. Benson's nephew, Robert Benson; Ben-son; Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Top-ham Top-ham and young daughter, Mrs. Topham is YWMIA president. Ronald Mortensen, with a boat and son Gordon; Carlyle Johnsons boat and Dennis and Tom; Bryce Adams, with his boat; Ted Burton and daughter daugh-ter Elaine and son Richard;, and their boat; Mr. and Mrs. EIRoy Bryant and daughters Christene and Laura Lee, and the following boys: Gordon Gor-don Gurr, Mark Benson, Curtis Cur-tis Mitchess, Kerry Orton, Dav vid Heap, Randy Chamberlain, Chamber-lain, Daryl Jones, Albert Orton. |
