Show K. Wilkinson wins top honors in Ladies golf tourney The final round of the Ladies Lad-ies Elimination Tournament for this season was played this weekend at the painted Hills Golf Course with Kay Wilkinson winning first place by defeating Gene Biederman in match play 4-1. Keen interest inter-est has been shown by participants partic-ipants and others in the tournament which has lasted over a period of four weeks. Others who placed were: Gene Biederman, second; Judy Wark, third; Maudel Smith, fourth; Ada Rousner, fifth; Helen Jensen, sixth; Ellen Olofson, seventh; and Gloria Fenton, eighth. A blind bogey tournament ' for all ladies is to be played this week with tee time to toe at 9 a.m. The Painted Hills Golf Course will be open to ladies only from 9 ajm. to 12 noon lor this event. . A regional invitational Golf Meet w ill be held at the Painted Paint-ed Hills Golf Course on Wednesday, Wed-nesday, August 18. Tee time for this event is 9:30 a.m. An entrance fee of $5.00 will toe charged to cover expenses of green fees for 9 hole play, trophies, and a luncheon which will follow the play. Reservations can be made by calling 586-9793, 586-6376, and 586-8923 on or before August Aug-ust 14. Reservation blanks are also available at the club house. All local lady golfers are urged to come out and meet and play with the ladies from other golf clutos in tihe area. , |
