Show Utah Travel Council installs recreation telephone service The Utah Travel Council has installed a recreation information in-formation telephone1 system to inform callers about conditions con-ditions at Utah's major recreational re-creational areas. 521-8000 is the phone number num-ber to call for recorded information in-formation updated twice daily. Included in the Travel Council report are current weather conditions con-ditions at Bear Lake, Strawberry Straw-berry Reservoir, Great Salt Lake, Utah Lake, Flaming Gorge, Lake Powell, the Uinta Mountains, ... Cariyorilarids' Bryce and Zion National parks and Cedar Breaks National Monument. Updated at 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., the recording will also Include tips on where the fish are biting and any other pertinent information of use to weekend travelers. The phone-' listing can be found in the Yellow Pages of the phone directory under Weather Forecast or in the white pages as All Seasons Recreation Information. Lee Jorgensen, director of the Utah Travel Council, says, "We hope all travelers in Utah, resident or non-resident, will rely on this service. We know of no inciter way to provide pro-vide the public with current information about Utah's scenic sce-nic recreation areas." |
