Show Six additional candidates named in Iron County queen contest Six of the 18 candidates for the title of Miss Iron County are presented this week in the Iron County Record. The entire field of candidates candi-dates arc being presented over a three week period prior to the competition to bo staged at the Cedar High School aud itorium Friday, Sept. 3. On that date the new Miss Iron County and her attendants attend-ants will be named and the crown, worn for the past year by Miss Kay Lambeth, will be turned over to the new lucen, according to Steve Mitchell, chairman of the event for the Cedar City Jay-sees, Jay-sees, sponsors cf the annual Miss Iron County Pageant. Last week pictures of six cf the candidates and their sponsors spon-sors were published in the Record. They included, Becky Christcnsen, Janice Holmes, Tamara Hunt, Anne Myers, Wendy Robinson and Judy Vest. This week the six additional candidates who will vic for the coveted title arc: Jan Carter, 19 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Cal-vin W. Carter of Cedar City. Miss Carter is a graduate of Cedar High School and will be I a sophomore at Southern Utah State College this fall. She is being sponsored by Sullivan's Cafe. Belinda Davis, is the daughter of Mrs. Karla Davis of Cedar City and Kent Davis I of Kanarraville. She Is 17 years old and a recent final-1st final-1st in the Miss Teen-age America Amer-ica in competition in northern Utah. She Is also a graduate of Cedar High and Miriam's Style Shop of Parowan is fponsoring her bid for the title. Debra Evans is the 19 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Evans of Parowan and a graduate of iParowan High School. A student at Southern Utah State College she will en-ter en-ter the sophomore class this fall. Sponsorship is by Parowan Paro-wan Mercantile. Rozan Felix of Cedar City is being sponsored by Cedar Glass. She is 13 years old and and a graduate of Cedar High School. He parents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C Felix of Cedar City .'I Debbie Gray, 20, is the daughter of -Mr. and Mrs. Richard. Rich-ard. F. Gray of Payson. Currently Cur-rently she is a student at SUSC and Is a formcY graduate gradu-ate of rayson High School. Her sponsor U Hugh's Cafe. Marlcne Jensen, a 17 year old graduate of Cedar High School is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David H. Jenson of Cedar City. She is sponsored in the competition by North East Furniture.
