Show Enoch native dies in St. George at 92 James Simkins Jones, 92, na-tlve na-tlve of L'nocn, meet of natural causes at St. George Saturday, Aug. 2, and funeral services were held in St. George Tuesday Tues-day with, burial in the St. George City cemetery. Mr. Jones was born at Enoch on March 17, 1877, a son of John Lee and Rachel Simkins. He married Esther Alice Le-Fevre, Le-Fevre, Sept. 15, 1904, in the St. George LDS temple. She died Dec. 18, 1941. He married Har-riet Har-riet Ellen Larkln on Oct. 29, 1943. He was a livestockman and farmer, always very active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his widow, sons and daughters, James C, LaVon L., Myron L., Ordell, Mrs. Vivian Leanny, Mrs. John (Elaine) Pace, all St. George; Eddie L., Littlefield,. Ariz.; George H., Monroe; Adolia L., Bunkerville, Nev.; Mrs. Eddie (Manola) Cluff, Elko, Nev.; Mrs. Wendell (Esther) Pickering, Picker-ing, Enterprise; 58 grandchildren; grandchild-ren; 81 great - grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Myron S., Willard, both Enoch; George W., Mrs. Arthur (Blanche) Richards, both Cedar City; Mrs. Stanley (Grace) Smith, Bountiful. |
