Show Husband-wife team have big role in Shakespeare plays A husband-wife team which has achieved veteran status with the Utah Shakespearean Festival is Mr. and Mrs. Peter Codella. Mr. Codella is business busi-ness manager of the Festival and Mrs. Codella serves as secretary. The Festival is presented annually at Southern Utah State College in Cedar City and is currently featuring "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Othello", and "Love's Labour's Lab-our's Lost" through Aug. 9. Married one year ago, tho Codeilas both served with the USF several years prior to marriage. Mr. Codella joined the Festival company in 19H5 as a technician. lie was master mas-ter electrician in 19G7, and I was this year appointed to the ' position of business manager by the Festival Board of Directors. Di-rectors. Mrs. Codella became secretary secre-tary to the USF in 1966. She also serves as secretary to Fred C Adams, SUSC drama i director and founder of the i Festival, and in the school of arts and letters during the regular school year. Both of the Codeilas have been students at SUSC. Mr. Codella is majoring in chemistry chem-istry and will graduate in the spring of 1970. He plans to pursue graduate work in chemistry, probably at the University of Utah. He worked for the Nevada State Health Department in the summer of 1968 and is presently employ-. While a student at Hancho High School in Las Vegas ho worked on productions of "The American Dream" and "The Doctor in Spite of Himself at the University Uni-versity of Nevada in Las Vt-gas. Vt-gas. Mrs, Codella graduated Irom Hi( hfield High School in lOOti and entered SUSC that fall as a. scholarship student. She was student body secretary in 17-(8 and was also a member of Hie Drama Club. She played the leading role in "Tin; Old Lady Shows Her Medals", which toured southern south-ern Utah during 1907-68. .She also participated In the 1968 production of "Camelof. Mr. Codella is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Angelo M. Codella, North Las egas. Mrs. Codel-la's Codel-la's parents are Mr. and Mrs. V. V. Jensen, Richfield. |
