Show Just Comments In last week's issue of this paper the Parowan Section carried a notice of an "Open House" at the Parowan FFA Chapter's observation plot on 300 North and Main. The boys and their advisor have transposed trans-posed what used to be a weed patch anci horse pasture into an experimental plot where they are growing many vari-jeties vari-jeties of plants. We were happily hap-pily surprised at what the group has clone there. -A- -4- j Someone should call an open op-en house on a few other spots in the community. One especially espec-ially is the garden plot of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Mortensen on the north edge of town. Deb still must feel that there lis some value in growing a j garden, and he does a very 'good lob of it. Then there are a many spots in town that look the other way, and the owners of them should be asked to clean them up prior to thh coming County Coun-ty Fair when we have crowds of visitors who look over our town. 4t An improvement: The Forest For-est Service road crew has recently re-cently "gone over" the roads the lead to the Yankee, both First and Second Left Hand Canyons, and we appreciate what they have done. Roads leading to a popular place for both local and out-of state citizens, such as the Yankee, deserves more attention atten-tion than they have had recently. re-cently. We hope the Forest Service is able to continue an improvement program on the. two links to that reservoir. Another road which we feel has not been getting the attention at-tention it deserves in the past few years, is the Parowan Main Canyon Road to Cedar Breaks. i |
