Show Mrs. Claude Orton attends Orem event with granddaughter Mrs. Claude Orton enjoyed a very pleasant evening last Thursday when she joined her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Orton as guests at a tea at the Orem High School given by the Tig-erette Tig-erette Marching group in honor hon-or of their parents. Miss Patty Orton is a member and vice president of the organization. After the tea they were escorted es-corted to the gym as guests at the final basketball game of the year between the Orem and Payson High Schools. The game ended in a tie and in the overtime the Orem team won by five points. Mrs. Orton Or-ton states that if you don't think a ball game can be exciting ex-citing you should sit with the cheering section of a 2000 student stu-dent school with the band behind be-hind you. Following the tea Mrs. Orton visited with Mr. and Mrs. Karl Rasmussen and daughter Jane who is also a member of the Tigerrette marching group. |
