JERALD DAVENPORT I Jerald Davenport claims Linda Dalton in double -ring marriage ceremony Miss Linda Dalton of Parowan Paro-wan became the bride of Mr. Jerald Davenport on Saturday, July 12. Scene of the wedding rites was the Relief Society room of the Third Ward chapel, cha-pel, the time was 6 p. m. and officiating in the double ring ceremony was Bishop Hyatt Bentley. I The bride is a daughter of I Mr. and Mrs. John S. Dalton, I Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Davenport, Paragonah, are the parents of the bridegroom. A reception was held honoring hon-oring the couple that same , evening in the cultural hall of the church. For this event, the bride's floor-length gown was of Chufon over satin and was appliqued with lace. The floor-length veil was appliqued appli-qued in lace and it was fastened to a bow which set above ringlets on the head of the bride. She carried a bouquet bou-quet of yellow roses and carnations. car-nations. Mrs. Kurtess Walker was matron of honor and bridesmaids brides-maids were Miss Angie Dalton, Dal-ton, Miss Louise Davenport, Mrs. Emily Graff, Mrs. Robert Morgan; flower girls were the Misses Barbara Ann Davenport Daven-port and Melody Morgan. The attendants were dressed in spring green and each carried car-ried "one flower. Flower girls held white baskets. James Hall of Spanish Fork, fraternity brother of the bridegroom, bride-groom, stood as best man. Ushers were Michael Adams and Eugene Robb. j The mothers of the bride and bridegroom were dressed in green and wore yellow rose corsages. For her going awav costume the bride wore a blue polyester poly-ester knit dress with white trim and white shoes and accessories. ac-cessories. The honeymoon was a three-day trip in northern Utah. Assisting at the reception, Mrs. Karen Dalton Kline was at the guest book; at the gifts table were Miss Sheila Barton, Bar-ton, Mrs. Robbie Robb, Mrs. Kenneth Watson and Mrs. Clinton Topham. At the organ furnishing music during the evening was Mrs. Bill Stubbs. Lowell Caldwell was M.C. for a program presented during dur-ing the evening. Numbers included songs by a male quartet consisting of Karl O. Mitchell, Bruce Decker, Verl Taylor and Robert Rowley; a vocal duet by Janet and Janice Ja-nice Lamoreaux, a piano solo by Louise Davenport; a vocal solo by Whitney Orton, a reading read-ing by Andrea Adams and a saxophone solo by Mrs. Boyd Robinson. The new Mrs. Davenport is presently employed as a display dis-play girl at the J. C. Penny Store in Cedar City. Mr. Davenport Dav-enport is employed here for the summer and will resume his studies at Utah State University Uni-versity in the fall where he is a member of the Alpha Gamma Gam-ma Rho fraternity. |
