Show Upward Bound students stu-dents to produce programs on radio This summer Upward Bound students at Southern Utah State College will enjoy a new and unique experience. For one week during their stay in Cedar City, these students will operate radio station KCDR-FM, KCDR-FM, which is owned by South, em Utah State College. The station will be operated during dur-ing the week of July 19, during dur-ing the afternoon hours, by the students. The students are presently engaged in making preparations prepara-tions for their broadcasting time by producing a variety of musical shows, interviews, discussion and informative programs, and learning to write and arrange news programs. pro-grams. This is the first year that a learning activity of this type has been carried on in the Upward Bound Program. It is designed to enhance the students' stu-dents' verbal and technical skills and give them exposure to the field of broadcasting. |
