Early in the week, they defeated de-feated Kiwanis by a slim 3-2 margin, and Monday evening it was SpilsburyGraff who lost to the leaders, 3-1- Against Kiwanis, Coleman belted out 12 hits but could only score 3 runs. Kiwanis pushed in their two runs on four hits. Steve Stoker was the winning pitcher. Leo Kheppard suffered the loss. Stoker also was the winning pitcher against SpilsburyGraff. Spilsbury-Graff. Coleman scored all 3 runs in the first inning which was started off with a home run by Bret Smith. A double and a single in the final inning inn-ing scored the mortuary team's run. In other action, Milne took a 9-0 lead over SpilsburyGraff Spilsbury-Graff before finally winning 9-2 with the Mortuary pushing push-ing in two runs in the bottom of the final inning. Jerr Jensen Jen-sen was the winning pitcher. Bill Engle Tuesday night led Kiwanis to a 13-6 win over Milne. Engle was the winning win-ning pitcher and he also homered hom-ered in the contest. Mark Lea-vitt Lea-vitt homered for Milne. Milne Friday defeated Carter Car-ter Bros. 18-8. Leavitt homered hom-ered for Milne and Dean Hun-ter Hun-ter belted a home run for Carter's. It was Siplsbury-Graff Siplsbury-Graff defeating Rotary 9-1 in the other Friday night game with Rodney Wadsworth pick, ing up the mound victory and allowing just five hits. |
