Current ed-1 ed-1 ucation devices that will be i analyzed include role playing, micro teaching, simulation ex- erci.ses, interaction analysis, f and non-verbal films. Major focus for the first week of instruction will be on Developing Attitudes and Values." Minor focus will be ! on "Creativity." Dr. Gwyn R. Clark, professor of Education , at SUSC and co-director of the practicum, will be chief consultant con-sultant for the beginning studies. Dr. Eugene Holman, SUSC dean of students, will direct the creativity sessions. Second week focus will deal with "Teacher Questions" and "Music, Social Studies, and Creative Dramatics." Dr. Mary Eggert, co-director of the prac Ileum and former SUSC faculty fac-ulty member, will be prime consultant. Dr. Eggert and Dr. Clark will assist with social studies and drama activities. Third week activities will deaj with "Responding to Children" and a continuing of the music, social studies, and drama workshops under the direction of Dr. Clark, Dr. Eggert and Mrs. Luke. Studies for the fourth week will focus on "Affective Behavioral Be-havioral Objectives' plus the workshops of the previous two weeks. Dr. Clark explained that those enrolled in the practicum will have a choice of the three optional activities: activi-ties: music, social studies, or drama, during the last three weeks. Special lecturers for the practicum will be Dr. George Jeffs, coordinator of Professional Profes-sional Growth Services, Clark County, Nevada School District; Dis-trict; Alan Bauer, social studies stud-ies expert, Utah State Department Depart-ment of Education; Joe Phil- lips, principal, Jolin t. Miller (Success Oriented) Elementary Elemen-tary School, Las Vegas, Nev.; Kenneth Lindsay, Title III director, di-rector, Utah State Department of Education; Herman Houston, Hous-ton, media specialist, Southwest South-west Development Center, and Sue Robinson, district Integra-tion Integra-tion consultant, Clark County School District. |
