Show EN AVANTE CLU3 Claudia Forsyth was hostess at the Wednesday night social for members of the En Avanie Club. Members of the organization organ-ization heard a review of the book, "This Life I've Lead," which was written by Harry Paxton. Presenting the review, which was a biography of the famous woman athlete, Mildred Mil-dred "Babe" Didrikson Zah arias, ar-ias, who was married to "Gorgeous "Gor-geous George," was Gwen Stucki. Mrs. Stucki told the group that the book had been given her husband this summer sum-mer when Gorgeous George Zaharias had stopped in Cedar City to have his car repaired. There will be one more meeting meet-ing of the En Avante Club under the direction of officers Carmen Jones, LaVeve Whet-ten Whet-ten and Genevieve Gardner. After that session, Alice Braithwaite, Iris Corry and Anne Leavitt will take over the duties of president, vice president and secretary. PINENUTS Kathryn Applegate was hostess hos-tess at the Wednesday night meeting of Pinenuts Club. Co-hostesses Co-hostesses at the event were Bea Olson, Kathy Mitchell and Elaine Morcom. The ladies . who attended the social en-! en-! joyed a "Sing Along" with Cora Condie leading the vocal renditions and Sandra Nelson , accompanying her at the piano. H. H. CLUB Chinese dinner was served to the ladies of the H. H. Club Thursday afternoon at the China Gardens during their winter dinner party. Decorations Decora-tions were planned to express the theme "Roses are Red" with hearts and flowers being the main attraction. Alberta Morris and Marie Froyd were in charge of the social. |
