Show Final Rites Honor Violet W. Urie, 93 I ::l"!l;fi-.;" if(:. i I'V, Impressive funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Third-Fourth Ward chapel for Violet W. Urie, 93, a native na-tive of Cedar City who died of ' natural causes Tuesday, Feb. ! 7, in a Parowan rest home. I Services were conducted by ! Bp. Dan Crawford. Music was furnished by the Singing Mo-1 Mo-1 thers of the Third Ward, and a ' duet by Mr. and Mrs. Frank j Adams. Prayers were offered by Ray-i Ray-i mond H. Lunt at the mortuary, and invocation by Samuel F. Leigh. Speakers were William L. Jones, a nephew, Mrs. Ellen El-len Atkins and Mrs. Gwen Sherratt, neighbors, reviewed Mrs. Urie's many activities in the ward and community. Poems written by "Aunt Voilet" were read by Mrs. Blanche Dotson, a neice. Closing Clos-ing prayer was given by Clifton Clif-ton Chatterley. Burial was in the Ccrav Pi. VOILET W. URIE ty cemetery and the grave was dedicated by Heaton Lunt, a brother from Arizona. |
