Show CSU Thunderbirds Capture Pair Of Victories From Pacific College The Vikings of Fresno-Pacific College have been the College of Southern Utah Thunderbirds' favorite basketball basket-ball opponents this year. CSU came up with a pair of victories over the Vikings at Fresno, Calif, this past week to make it four victories over the California club this sea-, sea-, son. Friday night the Thunderbirds Thunder-birds had to fight off a rally in the closing minutes to pick up the 63 to 57 victory, but the wind had been taken out of the Vikings' sails by Saturday Satur-day night and the T-Birds led West with 32 and John Carey was In at 27 for the combined total. Carey, however, broke two school records in the series when he overcame the season scoring record set in 1965-66 by Rod Oliver and he Tilso took away last year's season rebounding record from Mel Wadsworth. Carey, just a freshman, will finish up the season this week with two more games and should set himself quite a goal for the remaining three years of eligibility at College of Southern Utah.
