Show Project Activity Boosted By Economy of Area fiees. Tho third bid will bo for black topping areas at the Cedar East and North Elementary Elemen-tary schools. Bids will be opened on five projects in Iron County during dur-ing the next two weeks, one major project, and the other of smaller projects, but nevertheless never-theless all important to the economy of the area. On August 10th bids will be opened for the construction of a new library at College of Southern Utah, which will be nearly $1 million for construe-teion, construe-teion, and considerably over that amount for the over-all project. Not only is this of major ma-jor importance cost wise, but of great importance to the college col-lege and the future of southern south-ern Utah. On Aug. 1th bids will be opened op-ened for construction of a seven-stall standard main-enance main-enance shop for the state road department along Highway 1 1 in Cedar Canyon. The shop is be be built near the junction of the Cedar Breaks-Highway 11, and will e used in connection con-nection with winter highway clearance and maintainence. The total cost of the project is expected be in the vicinity of $80,000, including the construction con-struction of an electric power lino from Blow Hard to the new shop. On Augst 2nd the Iron County Coun-ty School District will open bids on three projects. One is for furnishing coal for the school plants of the district during the coming winter. One is for the construction of new steps at the School District Offices Of-fices at 75 North 300 West Street in Cedar City, and for the development of a parking area at the school board of- |
