The combined Race Meel and Rodeo will be staged a the Parowan City Race Track and arena, where both grounds and race course have been newly surfaced and other improvements im-provements made. Normal Evans and Clayton Tullis of the saddle club are in charge of the rodeo portion of the programs. "The Biggest Little Race Meet in Utah", will be a feature fea-ture of the 1967 Iron County ,. Fair to be held in Parowan on Saturday Monday, Sept. 2-4 it is announced by Fair officials. offi-cials. $3,000 in purses will be added to the entry fees and trophy blankets, according to Sam Pritchard, race chairman. The race meet will be staged in connection with an amateur ama-teur rodeo under the direction of the Red Hill Wranglers, saddle club of Parowan. Seven races will be run daily dai-ly on both Saturday and Monday Mon-day with the spotlight on three feature races. One of these will be run on the opening open-ing day of the meet the 350 ward Futurity for two-year-old Quarter Horse with a $200 purse to be added to entry fees and trophy blanket. On Monday to be included In the seven-race program will be the five furlong Two-year-old Thoroughbred Futurity . with a $300 purse added. The .-highlight of the program will be the seven furlong Maturity race for four-year-olds and up for a $600 purse added and winner's trophy blanket. Mr. Pritchard reminds horsemen horse-men that one half of the entry en-try fees for the three special races must be paid by Aug. 15 with the balance to be paid by Aug. 30. The money may be sent to Sam Pritchard in Parowan or to Linford Orton, Cedar City. Penalty for nonpayment non-payment of entry after Aug. 15 Is half of the purse, the officials offi-cials announce. Hrosemen who have received receiv-ed copies of the racing program pro-gram are reminded that a number of changes have been made with the corrected copy being as follows.
