Show Karla Hulet Attends National Confab Miss Karla Hulet of Cedar City, returned home last week end from New York City, where she has been attending the 33rd National Convention of the 178,000 member National Nation-al Federation of Business and Professional Women's Clubs. Miss Hulet is Recording Secretary Secre-tary of the State Federation. She was one of some 3,000 members who gathered to conduct con-duct Federation business, elect new officers, adopt a legislative platform, present awards, and participate in a busy round of program sessions ses-sions and special events. Addressing Ad-dressing the convention were New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller and New York City Mayor John V. Miss Hulet saw the Federation Federa-tion present its annual "Top Hat Awards" to Florida's Dade County Commissioner Joseph Boyd, Jr.; advertising agency Doyle, Dane, Bernbach; Fair-child Fair-child Semi-Conductor Division of Fairchild Camera; Miss Margaret Hickey, former chairman chair-man of the Citizens' Advisory Council on the Status of Women; Wo-men; John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co.; Dr. Wm. E. Park, president of Simmons College; syndicated columnist Miss Sylvia Porter; Mrs. Jayne Baker Spain, president of Al-vey Al-vey - Ferguson, Cincinnati; Valley National Bank of Arizona; Ariz-ona; and Woodward & Loth-rop, Loth-rop, Washington, D. C, department de-partment store. The awards were presented in recognition of significant contribution to the advancement of the status sta-tus of employed women. Another highlight of the convention was the introduction intro-duction of Young Career Women Wo-men representing 42 State Federations. Four, including Utah's Mary Judith Colbath, were selected to appear on a panel discussion titled "Youth in this Age," moderated by NBC television reporter Barbara Bar-bara Walters.
