Show County Schools Prepare For August 28 Opening! For administrators of the Iron County School District the l!(7-(iS school year will officially of-ficially open on August 21 and 22 with the annual Adminis-j Adminis-j trativo Conference to be held at Navajo Lake. i On Wednesday, Aug. 23, teachers in the district will report for the pre-school Institute, Insti-tute, and on the 21th and 25th principals and teachers will be involved in organization activities within the individual schools. For the anticipated 3200 students stu-dents who will enter Iron County schools this fall, it will all get underway on Monday, Mon-day, Aug. 28, when school doors will open. Dr. Joe Reidhoad, Iron County Coun-ty superintendent, indicated that enrollment anticipations are for approximately the same number of students as were enrolled during the 19G6-67 19G6-67 school year. Some minor increases are anticipated, however. Theme for the administrative administra-tive conference on Aug. 21 and 22 will be "Designing Education Educa-tion for the Future." In attendance at-tendance will be Dr. Walter Talbot and Dr. Jay Campbell, deputy snuperintendents of the Utah State Department of Public Instruction. "How to Effectuate Changes in Iron County" will theme the teacher institute to be conducted con-ducted on August 23, Dr. Reid-head Reid-head stated. |
