Steve Lowery was a guest of Mr. ahd Mrs. Garth Jones over the Week end. Steve and Garth served as LDS Missionaries together to-gether in Japan. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Terry of Salt Lake City visited hen-over hen-over the week end with Mary Ann's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Grimshaw. Mrs. Lois Thompson and her four daughters of New Jersey, have been visiting with Mrs. Thompson's brother - in - law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Elvin Murie. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Jones and daughter visited with relatives rel-atives in Las Vegas before going go-ing on to California on a vacation. va-cation. Friends and relatives hero for tho funeral for Glert -Garfield included his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Garfield Gar-field and family of LaMirada, Calif.; Glen's sisters, Faye and her husband John Boyce and family of Salt Lake; LaVern and her husband Mel Jackson and family of Yakima, Wash.; Mrs. Loon a Haslam of Denver, Colo.; and Irvine and Day Garfield, Gar-field, cousins of Glen of Tre-monton; Tre-monton; Delia's brothers, Winston Win-ston Bnd William J. Christiansen Christian-sen and members of their families, fa-milies, and Iter sisters and their husbands Mr. and Mrs. Earl Horn and Mr. and Mrs. George Pearson, all of the Salt Lake area. Also Leon Chrlstensen and children Dorothy Doro-thy and Edward of Brigham City. Mrs. Joan Ashley, who is Delia's public health supervisor super-visor of Salt Lake and all of the public health nurses who work with Delia in the five country area, were in attendance. Twelve young people from our brea attended the Taro-wart Taro-wart Stake Youth Conference held at Brian Head Inn on Saturday. They included Cindy Cin-dy Christiansen, Zola and Connie Bryant, Carol, Dorothy and Louise Grimshaw, Marilyn Mari-lyn Heaton, Karen Speirs, Frank and David Rost, Lynn Nelson and Wally Sherratt. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Christiansen and part of their family left Saturday for a two weeks vacation in South Dakota. Da-kota. Miss Marie Matheson, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gay-len Gay-len Matheson came home fron Farmington, Utah Wednesday. Marie has been staying with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Matheson while Mrs. Johnson recovered from eye surgery. On Saturday three more of Gaylen's and Gay's children, Evan, Carol and Elaine went to Farmington to visit. The Lihoma Holiday which is a party for older Miliary girls and their mothers and is also an advartccmrnt ceremony, ceremo-ny, was held Thursday evening eve-ning and then on Sunday four of the girls reccivrd their graduation certificates. These were Kathy Pace, Marie Matheson, Math-eson, Annette Nelson and Ilene Thompson. The boys of the same group held their Trail Builder Roundup on Friday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Maxwell took their Sunday School class to Veyo to swim on Friday evening. |
