Show NEWS FROM PARAGONAH Mrs. Hilmct Lomoreaux Some 70 members of the Topham family enjoyed a reunion re-union in the Paragonah Ward Cultural Hall Saturday. Picnic dinner, visiting, a business meeting, election of officers and a program were scheduled. schedul-ed. Bill Boardman was chosen to be president for the coming year. Mario Topham was master of ceremonies for the program. Some family members traveled tra-veled from a distance to be present. June Topham and son Stephen, and Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Topham came from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Char-les Topham and family also came from northern Utah. Mrs. Romola Fretwell, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Fretwell, Mrs. Ruby Bauer and children, Mrs. Ivy Skougaard and children, Mrs. Reva Matheson and family fam-ily members, Mrs. Velva Batty Bat-ty and Mrs. Isabell Polk all came from Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Silas Tonham zo of Cedar City were Sunday guests at the Prothero home. Miss Carla Jo Mitchell of Cedar City spent several days ' here with her grandmother, Mrs. Leona Stones. Jimmy and Michelle Mason of Cedar City spent most of last week here with grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb while the parents were vacationing in Mexico. Miss Laura Barton has been visiting in Cedar City for the past week with the Dallen Williams family. She returnee home Sunday and Doris ana the children came with he bringing Lorraine and Dale Mosdoll too. The group enjoyed enjoy-ed visiting and dinner at the Barton home. Mr. and Mrs. Merton Prothero Prot-hero of Montebello, Calif, are visiting here with Mrs. Ro-wena Ro-wena Stones and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Prothero. Mrs. Maxine Keiffer and son, Alvin H., and his wife and baby are here from Bountiful Boun-tiful visiting with Mrs. Gwen Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mar-ion Englestead. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham is proud of the fact that her grandson, Vernon Berrie, has been called on a mission for the LDS church. He entered the mission home August 7 and is now studying at BYU. He goes to Argentina, South America for a two and one-half one-half year mission. Mrs. Topham was in Kearns to hear him speak prior to his departure and attended a family gathering at the Berrie home afterward. Don C. Barton was injured at work Wednesday of last urnnlr onH mar. Vincri ta rt Mrs. Nina Robb was home from Provo for a short week end rest from the nursing school. Mrs. Norma Topham returned return-ed home Thursday after a week in Sacramento, Calif, with the Earl Stonebreaker family. Earl and the new baby had operations during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Mario Topham, Mrs. Eulalia Orton, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Topham and family, fam-ily, Travis Boardman, all attended at-tended from Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford East of Los Angeles, Calif, are vacationing va-cationing in this aroa and were in attendance at the Topham reunion Saturday. Mrs. East will be remember-ed remember-ed as the former Rhoda Topham. Top-ham. Mrs. Anna Field and two small daughters of Logan arrived ar-rived here Saturday in time to attend the Tnnham rnnn inn Mrs. Marion Rosenberg and three youngsters of Cedar City spent several days here last week with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lew-is Davenport. Humbert came to join them and the family accompanied the Kay Lamor-eaux Lamor-eaux family to Pine Lake for a day of fishing before returning re-turning to Cedar City. Curt Boardman arrived here from Idaho Sunday to spend a few davs with his Darents. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Boardman. Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Clove of Enterprise were in town Monday Mon-day afternoon for a visit with Mr. Clave's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Robinson. Mrs. Melva Barton, son J. Lowe and Terry Berry traveled travel-ed to Salt Lake City to spend Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Edwards and Mrs. Maggie Edwards. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Barton and their three sons have moved here from Clearfield and have brought their big trailer house to live in. For the present Mr. Barton is still employed in Clearfield and will be doing quite a bit of and will spend the week here visiting with the T. A. Robinsons. Robin-sons. Mrs. Field's husband, Charles, will join them later and the family will travel to Douglas, Ariz, where Mr. Field will be teaching the coming season. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Hansen and three sons, Mark, Lynn and Hal of Salt Lake City were here from Friday to Sunday Sun-day to visit with Margaret's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Davenport. Saturday evening the Clark Lamoreaux family hosted the group at a picnic supper at Cedar Breaks. Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Edwards are enjoying having their fri- the Milford hospital until Sunday Sun-day when he was transferred to Salt Lake City. His wife, Edith, joined hime in Milford early Sunday for the trip by train to the Capitol City. Barton has a crushed foot and broken toes. The Ralph Edwards family of Cedar City visited at the Chester Robinson home Saturday Satur-day enroute home from a trip to Orem. Mrs. Dorothy Mickle and her son, Bp. Harold L. Mickle, and his wife and three children, child-ren, all of Spring City visited at the H. Revere Robinson home from Tuesday to Thursday. Thurs-day. Mrs. Mickle and Mrs. Robinson are sisters. , traveling. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Harris of Salt Lake City were in the area for the week end. They 1 visited here with grandparents, grandpar-ents, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Robinson Rob-inson and in Parowan with grandmother, Hattie Harris. Mr. and Mrs. Neil Talbot of Burns, Ore. visited here with the Orson Talbots from Wednesday Wed-nesday to Friday of last week. L Mrs. Donna Jolley and some of her children of Cedar City visited at the Robinson home Thursday. ' '" To climax the week Revere and Idella took six of their grandchildren to Horse Valley for a two-day outing. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Board-man Board-man of Delta were also week end visitors at the Boardman home. They were to Beaver for the Rodeo both Friday and Saturday nights. Gene returned return-ed to Delta to work Saturday but his wife, Pat, came on to Paragonah Friday night and he joined her Saturday evening. eve-ning. Clinton Topham and his lady friend traveled to Pioche Sunday to spend the day with the Sam Cutlers and brought l little Kimberley Cutler back to Paragonah to visit with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Topham for a few days. Rodney and Roger Harris of San Francisco, Calif, who are attending school at BYU were week end visitors here. They came to attend the Topham Top-ham family reunion and were guests at the home of their mother's uncle, Mr. Leonard Topham. ends, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bishop Bis-hop of Los Angeles spend some time with them. The Bishops are getting a home in Parowan and plan to take up residence there soon. Bp. Boyd Robinson and son Alan spent several days in Kanab last week. Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson and Miss Vie Ann Williamson attended MIA Girls Camp at Brianhead last week. The Misses Mitzi, Tammy and Natalie Talbot of St. George were here last week end to visit with their grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot. Brent and Shirley came for them Saturday and were dinner guests at the Talbot home before returning to St. George. Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Thornton Thorn-ton and small son of Ogden arrived here Monday to visit for a few days with Gerry's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton.
