Show Deadlines for Iron County Fair Exhibits If ears; Details Outlined As the time approaches' for ron County's big three-day x'air, residents are reminded of the rules, regulations and dates for entering their articles artic-les for exhibit. They are also reminded that the time is short and that preparations will have to be speeded up to meet the dealines. The Fail-will Fail-will be held in Parowan Saturday, Sat-urday, Sept. 2 to Monday, Sept. 4. Provision has been made for display of almost any article or product which any resident has made or produced. The Home Arts department includes, in-cludes, home sewing for both adults and juniors; all types of handwork, quilts, rugs, bedspreads, bed-spreads, infants' wear. This department also has a division divi-sion for all kinds of canning, baking and other culinary skills. The arts, crafts and hobbies limited to bonafide residents of Iron County. Others may be for display only. Articles entered in previous Fairs or contests may not be entered again for competition. An exhibitor may not enter more than one article in any given category. All exhibits must be left in their respective departments until 5 p. m. of the last day of the Fair, Sept. 4. Prizes will be paid from 11 a. m., Monday, Sept. 5 in the principal's office of the Parowan Paro-wan Elementary School Building. Build-ing. All exhibits will be shown in the various rooms of the Parowan Par-owan Elementary School. Entry of Exhibits The hours for registering exhibits ex-hibits at the exhibit hall are as follows: Thursday, Aug. 31 from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. All home rts exhibits except baked goods; All Arts and Crafts, and all Senior Citizens' exhibits, except baked goods, crops and Jowers. Exhibits Open to Public Friday, Sept. 1 9 a. m. to 11 a. m., All baked goods. Saturday, Sept. 2 8 to 11 l. m. All crop and fruit exhibits exhi-bits and all flower exhibits Saturday, Sept. 2 1 to 6 p. .i; Sunday, Sept. 3 4 to 7:30 m., and Monday, Sept. 4 .1:30 a. m. to 5 p. m. department provides for exhi bits of all types of painting, o wood, leather, plastic and me tal work; of ceramics and fur niture refinishing, and of var-. var-. .ous hobby collections. All types of field and gar-Jen gar-Jen crops can be exhibited at vvell as fruits and berries. All of the above classifies Hons are repeated in the Senior Sen-ior Citizens' department when, articles will compete withn. their specified age group. 4-H Clubs will also share i complete exhibit, although th judging was done earlier because be-cause of the advance date Oj. the State Fair. General Rules The Fair Board has set ur some general rules and regu lations which apply to all ex hibits. The first of these state that the General Fair Commit tee reserves the right to in terpret rules and regulations, to settle and determine al matters, questions, and differ ences that may arise there from. The Fair Management is al so not responsible for loss or damage by any cause whatsoever whatso-ever to exhibits while on display dis-play or enroute to or from the Fair. The exhibitors must be responsible for delivery of articles ar-ticles to exhibition hall, to see co their proper entry, and to claim them at the end of the Fair. Another item states that any articles entered in any department depart-ment which will be "competing "compet-ing for Prizes" must be the work of or have been produced produc-ed by the "Exhibitor" and be entered in his or her name. Any misrepresentation shall cause forfeitures of premiums. Entries in all departments will be judged for prizes are |
