Show Parowan City Sewer Project Waits For Fund Clearance For those residents of Paro van who are wondering about the status of the Parowan City jewer project, we have ob ained the following information informa-tion from Mayor Ralph Orton as of this date. It had been loped that with the beginning )t the federal government fis ?al year on July 1, the fund: isked for by the city, and pro nised by the FHA, would be .ortheoming in time for the roject to get under way this fall. Mayor Orton states that the funds for disbursement by the FHA for projects such as ours, have been appropriated, to be spread out to the entire 50 states, but that the appropriation appropria-tion hasn't as yet been apportioned ap-portioned to the various states. Letters have been forwarded to each me.nbers of Utah"s Congressional delegation, requesting re-questing their help in looking alter our interests, and from Senator Moss the above information infor-mation came. He also stated the the Parowan request for a loan and grant was at the top of the Utah list and that when the aDDronriatinn io hm. 1 ken down we should be among the first to receive the funds, states that requests are still In the meantime, the Mayor coming from the disbursing agency, the FHA, for additional addition-al information on the project, especially concerning the land purchased for the sewage treatment plant. This information informa-tion is being forwarded to the FHA office as fast as it is requested re-quested and can be gathered so that this will not hold up the project when the funds are made available.
