Show Pioneer Doctor Is Guest of Round Table Ladies Special guest at a recent meeting of the Round Table Club of Cedar City was Dr. Lorene Miles Allen, a well trained pioneer doctor of the Uintah Basin area. Mrs . Allen practiced in that locality even before the opening open-ing of the Roosevelt Hospital in 1924. She was one of the three Utah women who were chosen and admitted to the Alpha Alameda Sorority. This came in recognition of her outstanding mortality rate during her 45 years of work and devotion among the sick. She now lives in St. George. A delicious luncheon was served to 13 members and 8 guests. In addition to Mrs. Allen, guests included Mrs. Mildred M. Dilman, a sister of Mrs. Allen, Clair Jones, Annette Betensen, Laura Hulet, Thora Barton, Silvia Jones, and Naomi Na-omi Lunt. |
