The Cedar City Youth Council, Coun-cil, in cooperation with the Cedar City Employment Secur-ity Secur-ity Office, developed a youth employment project for this summer to provide work for boys to help them earn spending spend-ing money and learn how to work. These boys are being put to work with funds provided for, this purpose by the Cedar City Rotary Club and without their help this program would not have been possible. This and many other projects pro-jects are the goal of the Youth Employment Committee and as funds are available and as other groups lend their financial support for this type project, these will become realities. .Those in charge of the program pro-gram indicated that they would like to be in a position to help the county on their small projects, and are also looking for projects through the School District and through Cedar City Corporation. The availability of funds has made it possible for any young man, who is willing to work, to have an opportunity. Pay is minimal, but, nevertheless, neverthe-less, does provide opportunities opportun-ities for young people who otherwise have no earning capacity. |
