Show CSU Student Named Winner In Jaycees' Road-e-o Through the process of ellm. lnatlon and extensive written and driving examinations Allan Day, student at the College of Southern Utah, and son of Mrs. Arvilla Day of Cedar City, wasf declared winner in the second annual Teen-Age Road-e-o. The final phase of the contest was held Saturday morning at the CSU fleldhouse parking lot. Day compiled a total score of 443 points out of a possible 500. In addition to the grand winners win-ners two othere were recipients of prizes. Sharon Kelsey, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank E. Kelsey, was winner in the girls' j division, and Clark Maxwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Maxwell, was first place in the boys' division. di-vision. Each of the three was award-ated award-ated automobile dealers of Cedar ed prizes donated by the associ-City. associ-City. In addition Day received a plaque donated by Frank Milne of Milne Truck Line. The contest was run off by the sponsoring organization, the Junior Jun-ior Chamber of Commerce, with John Browyi as chairman. Day, as local winner, will enter en-ter the state contest which could win him a place in the national Teen-Age Road-e-o. |
