Show This week's spotlight was turned turn-ed on the nominating convention conven-tion held Tuesday April 10 In the Little Theatre. Each home room was represented by the regular reg-ular representative and an elected elect-ed delegate. From there the nominations nom-inations began. Four students were nominated for each office. They were: Dayne Gardner, Be-van Be-van Corry, Jerry Farnsworth and Gardiner Dalley, president; Kay Ashcroft, Marie Beck, Sandra Wood and Betsy Lunt, vice presl-dent, presl-dent, and Linda KneJl, LaKue Bladen, Sue Ellen Bulloch and Mary Ellen Edmunds secretary. The Primary election will be held Friday, April 13 and the field wiU be narrowed to two students for each office. The following fol-lowing Friday, April 20, the final election will be held. a,nd the results announced at the election dance that nleht. Seminary Project The Cedar L D S Seminary Is sponsoring the movie, "My Pal Gus." which will be shown at the Parks Theatre next Monday and Tuesdayy nights. This will be a fund-raising project and all townspeople are urged to support sup-port It. Each Seminary student will have the chance to enter a contest con-test staged In connection with the movie. Prizes will be given to the students selling the most tickets for this event. The prizes are: first, a triple combination Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price and Doctrine Doc-trine and Coovenants, with the winner's name engraved on the cover In gold; second, a pen and pencil set; third, a book, and fourth, a pen. Remember that's April 16 and 17 and the Parks Theatre. nolle Postponed The Spring Frolic, scheduled for this Friday, April 15. has been postponed owing to a misunderstanding misunder-standing about the use of the high school gym. The new date has been tentatively set for May 11. Dance Revae- The annual Cedar High Dance Revue will be held April 12 and 13 in the C S U fieldhouse, this year. Miss Winona Prince, girls' phys education Instructor, Is In char?? of the revue this year with Miss Sidney Reading assisting. Tne theme for this years dance revue Is "Colors In Rhythm," and should be verv entertaining for all attending. Approximately 190 girls are participaUng in the giant revue. Seminary Oradnettoa Plans are moving along very smoothly, as the 1955-96 Church History classes are preparing for graduation. As of now, about 105 students will receive diplomas at the graduation services. The students were - highly In favor of having a guest speaker at graduation and so Dr. Wes Belnap, from the Brigham Young University, was secured to fill that position. Graduation will be held In the Cedar Stake House, May 13 and the public is Invited to atteni. Several students will give talks at the services. . THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK; Love Is the onjy game where the plavers like to stay on the bench; It Is also the only game which Is never called on account of darkness. |
