The couple were married in the St. George Temple on November 15. She is the former Faith McMeekin of Canada. Faith McMeekin Recites Vows United In marriage on Friday morning, Nov. 15, 1957 at St.) George L D S Temple were Faith Delone McMeekin and Devon B. Reeves. President Harold Snow performed the ceremony. The bilde is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. S. McMeekin, 3311 Llnwood Ave, Victoria, B. C-. Canada, and the groom a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Reeves, Ka-narraville, Ka-narraville, Utah. Following the ceremony a luncheon was given In their honor hon-or by the bride's sister, Mrs. Verl Sanders, Cedar City. Out of town guests In attendance were Boyd Reeves. Ely, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Dfcumor.:? Steward and daughters Fawn and Sherry, Hayward, Cal. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Jensen, Logan; Lo-gan; The Misses Josie Mae Purser, Pur-ser, Wilma Woffinden and Char-lotte Char-lotte Williams, all of Salt Lake City, and Miss Jeannie Newman, Reglna, Saskatchewan, Canada. A reception was held that evening eve-ning in Kanarra Ward recreation hall. The bride was lovely in a ballerina length gown of white Imported lace over taffeta with nylon net Insets In the full rkht and lily point rleeves. Seed pearls edged the scalloped neck-lire neck-lire and trimmed the crown which held a fingertip veil of: nylon net trimmed In lace. The bride wore a pearl necklace and. earring set gift of the groom.; White satin slippers completed the ensemble. She held a beautiful beau-tiful bouquet of white carnations and red roses with rosebudes cascading cas-cading on white statin stream-1 era. Best man was Boyd Reeves, brother of the bridegroom Miss Josle Mae Purser and Mrs. Clarice Clar-ice Jen:ien were bridesmaids attired at-tired In matching beige-gold satin sa-tin dresses. pYincess style, carrying carry-ing bouquets of white chrysanthemums chrysan-themums with cascading multicolored multi-colored ribbons. Miss Shelley-Sanders, Shelley-Sanders, niece of the bride, acted as flower girl. She wore a pretty dress of blue bonnet satin trimmed trim-med with white and silver lice and held a bouquet of white chrysanthemums with pink ribbon rib-bon streamers. Mrs. Lynn Reeves, mother of the bridegroom was lovely In a navy blue crepe dress compli-' mented by a corsage of pink car nations. A short program was presented present-ed consisting of a piano solo by Boyd Reeves, song "Always," hy Lois Reeves, Hawaiian dance by Mary and Jerry Graff, two musical musi-cal numbers by La Ree Pollock, reading by Ferle Zohner and words of advice to the couple by Horace Hall. A telegram was read from the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. S. McMeekin, wishing the couple much happiness. happi-ness. Thanks from the newly-weds newly-weds concluded the program. Evan Reeves was master of ceremonies. cere-monies. Messrs. Boyd Reeves, Gene Helland and Earl Kenney furnished music for dancing. Miss Norma Reeves was In charge of the j!?t book; Mrs. Verl Sanders, Mrs. Ethel Stark, Mrs. Lois Reeves and Miss Janice Ja-nice Williams were In the gift room. Helping in the kitchen were Mrs. Alva Batty, Irene Reeves and Roselle Christiansen. The couple left on a honey-mon honey-mon to Victoria, B. C, to visit the b'ide's parents and friends. Her going away outfit consisted of a blue-grey Italian wool tweed fitted fit-ted suit with matching navy blue suede shoes and purse, while gloves complemented by a corsage cor-sage of gold chrysanthemums. .Mr. and Mrs. Reeves will te-side te-side in Cedar City where Mr. Reeves will attend College of Southern Utah. |
