Show Scout Honor Court Held for Cedar Guide Groups A court of honor was held in the Cedar Second Ward chapel Saturday evening. Dec. 7 for the Guide Scouts of the Cedar Stake. A program was presented followed fol-lowed by the presentation of Tenderfoot and Second Class Scout badges. Thirty-nine awards were presented in all. Program at the court included includ-ed remarks by Mrs. Helen Bauni-yartner, Bauni-yartner, stake Primary president and a talk by Joseph S. Barney, district scouter, located in Cedar City. Invocation was given by Robert Rosenberg of the Cedar First Ward and Zello Matheson, stake leader, welcomed the parents and friends to the meeting. Michael Davis of the Fourth Ward gave a trumpet solo; a reading was given by Steven Lr-?evre Lr-?evre of the Sixth Ward; Danny Tones and his mother, Mrs. Belle Jones, of the Fifth Ward, olayed 1 plana duet and the boys of he Second Ward sang "On Top f Old Smoky." Opening flag ceremonies was indor the direction of the Third! Ward scouts and the retiring of he calors was done by the scouts t the Seventh Ward. Souter Barney and Newel Wasden made the presentation of iwards to the following boys: Tenderfoot scouts: Daniel Rob. ?rts. Dow Seegmlller, Fred Es--neier. Steven LeFevre, Terry Munford, Dennis Whlttekien-J, Tack M. Batt, Bert B. Stratton, ""obcrt J. Lawrence, Danny Con-die, Con-die, Martin Jackson, Carl Banks, 1 Ralph Fetty, Robert Rosenberg Merryl Arns, Paul Walker, Lee Hunter, Michael S. Sherman Ronald Sherman, Jefferv Dennis. Carl Nelson, Brent Betenson, Ronald Thompson, Tommy Dover Dov-er and Ronald Lamoreaux. Second Class awards: David Mlllett, Stanworth Langford. Daniel Jones, Robert Tucket t, Neil Roberts, John Henry Froyd, Terry Jay Morton, Paul Robert Gardner, Kent Leavitt Palmer, Robert Wasden, Wayne Cooley, Brent Bulloch, John Jacobs and Thomas Clark. Scott Betty and Richard Wood, bury of the Kanarra Ward will receive their second class awards in a court of honor to be held in Kanarraville Dec. 21. |
