Show Cedar Canyon Skiers Can Enjoy New Lift Facilities Good news for the skiers Iri southern Utah was received today. to-day. John NIebergall of the Dixie j National Forest, announced that the Cedar Canyon tow, which is located 15 miles east of Cadar City on Highway U-14, woullcl would start its season of opeia-tion opeia-tion this week end. Hours of operation op-eration will be from 12:30 p. nu to 4:30 p. m. on week ends. This past summer the U. S. Forest Service granted Richard Rice and Carl Croft, operators of the tow, permission to extend the rope an. additional 300 feet. This new rope will open up an area which will be considerable steeper steep-er and give a challenge to the more advanced skiers. With ample snow already on the slopes, the skiers of Cedar City and southern Utah are expecting ex-pecting a great season. NIebergall also stated that Chuch Ratte will again be on hand to give beginners expert instruction in all phases of skiing. |
