Show Two Broncos Placed On iUl-Ccnference Selections for All-Conference honors for the recently completed Intermountain Collegiate Athletic Conference season were announc-ed announc-ed by the Salt Lake Tribune this week. College of Southern Utah, who finished second in the conference race this season, topped only by Boise Junior College, placed two men on the all-conference team. Boise topped the list with three men named to the Junior college circuit all-stars. Dee Smith was named to the all-conference team for the second sec-ond successive year and making his first appearance on the squad was Ron Houser, a freshman halfback for Coach Bruce Osborne this season. Dixie Junior College also placed plac-ed two men on the squad. They were Ralph Briton, sophomore end and Roy Birrell, sophomore i halfback for the third place Rebels. Receiving the most votes of the coaches, who selected the all-con. ference team, was sophomore El-vin El-vin Juliano, center of the Carbon Eagles. It is Julia no's second year on the all-conference team. From Boise the selections Included In-cluded Herb Hallewell, back; John Wilcox, tackle and Dean Castle, end. Others selected to the all-con-ference team Included: Vern Budge, back, Snow; LaRell Ward, guard, Ricks and Rod Orcll, tackle, Weber. Balloting was done by the (coaches In the seven team conference, con-ference, with coaches unable to ballot for members of their own squad. |
