Show Cedar Little League Govorning Beard Re-organized Re-organ;zanon of the Cedar City Little League governing board was started Tuesday evening eve-ning with the election of directors, direct-ors, and plans for the coming year were tentatively discussed. At the meeting Tuesday seven directors were elected, four for a one-year period and three for a two-year period. This is a change in procedure, approved as a means of making sure that experienced ex-perienced personnel will be held over on the governing board fiom year to year. In keeping with this plan, four members of the 1957 board were elected for one-year one-year periods as holdover direct-ors, direct-ors, and three were elected for two-year terms. The four holdover directors named were Carl Wasmuth, El-loyd El-loyd Marchant, Charles EspMn and Lester Heyborne. Marchant has served as vice president this year, and Heyborne has served as secretary and treasurer. Tom Brockmeier. who has served as president, automatically becomes a member of the board for the coming year. Of the three two-year directors elected, one, John McKnight, has served on the board this year. The other two, Ed DeMoss and Orville Isom, have not served be. fore, This leaves one board member to be elected. The new board will select a player agent and he will automatically become a member of the board, completing the organization. or-ganization. Should some member of the board be named as player agent, then the vacancy on the board will be filled by appointment. appoint-ment. Morgan Rollo has served as player agent for the organization organi-zation since the Little League was first organized in Cedar City. Friday evening the new board will meet to select a president, vice president and seceretary-treasurer seceretary-treasurer from the board. The group will also complete plans |
