Show Tryout Dates Set For City Pony League Two tryout dates for boys 13 to 14 who want to participate In the Pony League baseball program this summer were set at a meeting meet-ing held Tuesday evening. Conducting Con-ducting the meeting was league president. Dr. J. S. Prestwich. It was pointed out that boys 14 years of age must turn out for the tryouts even though they participated on one of the four teams last season. Dates for tryouts have been set for Saturday, Apr. 23 and Saturday, May 5. Boys 14 years of age are to report at the field at 2 p. m. on thosa days. Boys 13 years of age are to report for the tryouts at 4 p. m. Also at the meeting a tentative date was made for the opening of the league season. The date set was Monday, May 28. This date coincides with the opening of the Little League. Managers for the four teams in the league were in attendance at the meting to discuss the play-er play-er selection program for this season. sea-son. Those managers are: Arden Dairy: Sam Gentry.
