Show Cedar High Scfroof Band Outlines Concert Tour Agenda A two-day concert tour into Nevada, Ne-vada, including three concerts, has been outlined by the Cedar City High School band, it was announced an-nounced by Eugene Helland, director. di-rector. The trip was approved by the Board of Education at the last meeting of that group and processes pro-cesses this week include finalizing finaliz-ing the agenda and obtaining permission of the band members' parents. Some of the money raised by the band in the recent Rascher concert wlU be used to finance the trip, the director said. However, How-ever, aid from the school and from the individual students will be necessary, Helland said. Concerts will be given at Dixie Dix-ie High School in St. George, at Boulder City High School at Boulder City, Nev., and at the Rancho High School In Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Nev. In addition, arrangements have been made to have the students tour the Hoover Dam, and ar rangements are now being made to attend a show at the Thun-derbird Thun-derbird Hotel, featuring the "Four Lads." Here Is a brief rundown of the agenda: Monday i 7:00 a. m. leave Cedar City. 9:00 a. m. Concert at St. George. 3:00 p. m. Tour Hoover Dam. 7:30 p. m. Attend show at Thun- derbird. Tuesday i 9:00 a. m. Concert at Boulder High. 11:00 a. m. Concert at Rancho High. 1:00 p. m. Lunch at Thunderbird. 2:00 to 5:45 p. m. free time for students. 6:00 p. m. leave Las Vegas. In between traveling, tours, and concerts of course the band must eat as well. Helland pointed out that it was a tight schedule and, as indicated on the agenda sheet, the band will return re-turn home Tuesday evening at midnight "tired." |
