Show Funeral Services Conducted For Edmund Stevens Funeral services for Edmund Stevens, aged Parowan resident, 1 who died Saturday, Nov. 4 at the home of his daughter In Salt Lake City, were held last Wed-nesday Wed-nesday in the Parowan First-Second Ward chapel at 2 p. m. Bishop Bruce- Matheson conducted con-ducted the services and speakers were Pres. W. Clair Rowley and Pres. Howard D. Knight, with brief remarks by Bishop Matheson. Mathe-son. I The prayer at the home was offered by Bishop Harley W. Dalton; Dal-ton; the invocation was offered by Arthur J. Riding, a grandson; tthe benediction was offered by I Royal Stevens, also a grandson, and the grave in the Parowan City cemetery was dedicated by-Joseph by-Joseph E. Ward. i The' opening song, "Prayer of Mercy," was by a ladies trio composed com-posed of Ramona Stubbs, Shirley Evans and Elna Stubbs. President Howard Knight sang a solo, "Stranger of Galilee," and Carol Lou Munford sang the solo, "Take My Hand Precious Lord. The closing clos-ing song, "End of a Perfect Day," was by the ladies trio. Itha Mor-tensen Mor-tensen accompanied the trio and was at the organ for prelude and postlude music, Barbara Jane Batt accompanied Pres. Knight and Ramona Stubbs accompanied accompan-ied Miss Munford. I Pallbearers were six grandsons Arthur Riding, Royal Stevens, Bob Stubbs, Ken Esplin Boyd Whitney and Lawrence Riding. I Mr. Steven's survivors Included Includ-ed sons: Frank and Albert Stev-jens. Stev-jens. Parowan; Robert W. Stevens, iSpringville; Grant W. Stevens, U. S. Army, Germany; daughters: Mrs. J. A. (Lucy) Riding, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Alfred (Mabel) Wilcock, Parowan; Mrs. Vern (Delia) Reed. Fullerton. Calif.; Mrs. Helen W. Morgan, San Die- Calif; 21 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and two brothers, bro-thers, George, Parowan, and William, Wil-liam, Cowley, Wyo. |
