Show New Motel Boasts Special Telephone System The New American Motel, Cedar Ce-dar City's newest motel unit, has a new communications system which enables guests to use the telephone much the same way they do at home or In the office. Called "Guest-Planned Telephone Tele-phone Service," the new installation instal-lation was developed to give guests the most complete range of telephone conveniences possible, possi-ble, according to Allen Blackner, motel manager. According to Jerry Godfrey, manager of the Cedar City office of the Mopuntain States Tel. and Tel. Co., the installation of this new type unit in Cedar City marks it as the only one of its type south of Salt Lake City. The unit offers guest dialing for outside calls, message-waiting service and color telephones, in all the rooms. j Guest dialing permits guests to dial their own local or long distance calls. Guests save time by by-passing the motel switchboard. If a guest recieves a call when he is not in his room, message-waiting message-waiting services goes to work. A PBX or special message attendant attend-ant receives the call and activates activ-ates a flashing light on the guest room telephone. When the guest returns, he notes the flashing light and calls the message-waiting message-waiting desk. |
