Show Cedar Unit Hosts 3-State Jeep Patrol Meet Al Canfield,, national Commander Com-mander of the Search and Rescue Res-cue Association of Phoenix, Ariz., and Wib Cook, commander of the Utah organization, were in Cedar City this past week for a series of meetings and activities. Representatives from Jeep patrols pa-trols from a three state area Including In-cluding Utah, Nevada and Arizona Ari-zona were in attendance at the meetings which were hosted by the Iron County Jeep Patrol. General meeting of the group was held Saturday afternoon and the group participated in a banquet ban-quet Saturday evening. Items of discussion included upcoming national convention to be held in Las Vegas, Nev., in March, 1002 and the State convention to be staged in Cedar City in August, Aug-ust, 1962. Wives of guests were taken on a tour of the Iron County Schools and of the Desert Mound facilities of Utah Construction Co. Sunday, visiting association members participated in the pheasant hunt Thirty-six visitors, along wfch 16 members of the Iron County unit, were in attendance at the meetings. Welcomed to the organizations were new Jeep Patrol units in southern Utah including a newly organized group in Milford, Beaver Bea-ver County and a new group In Washington County. It was reported by Commander Canfield that 3d county organizations organiza-tions are now affiliated with the national association with 23 ot those located In Utah. |
