Show Deer Contest Rules Listed by Gun and Rod Club The committee in charge of this year's big deer contest of the Parowan Gun and Rod club this week announces the list of prizes to be given away to club members immediately following the close of the regular deer hunting season. Three prizes, valued in excess of $50, will be awarded to winners win-ners in the three divisions of the contest, according to Warren Pendleton, Pen-dleton, chairman and John S. Dalton, Jr.. and Clayton Tullls, members. They are as follows: For the widest spread of antlers, ant-lers, one Weaver four-power scope. For the heaviest deer, field dressed, a Coleman two-burner Stove. For the deer with the most points, scabbard for rifle with mounted scope. Rules of the contest are as follows: fol-lows: For club members only, with membership card to be dated dat-ed before Oct. 21, 1961; deer must be killed during regular season, Oct. 21 to Oct. 31, and each entry en-try is eligible for only one prize. Entries must be registered with the committee by Nov. 1 or the day following the close of the regular hunt. Memberships can be purchased from any of the officers of the club at a $2.00 fee at any time prior to the opening of the season, sea-son, Mr. Pendleton states. |
