Show LOWELL SHERRATT Democrats Name Replacement For Councilman John Smith, Chairman of the Cedar City Democratic Committee, Commit-tee, announces that Dub Leigh, who was nominated as Democratic Democra-tic candlate for City Councilman at the party convention, has submitted sub-mitted his resignation, and the central committee has filled the vacancy on the party ticket. Lowell Sherratt. Jr., prominent Cedar City businessman and church leader, was named as the party candidate for the position. Mr. Sherratt, who is co-owner and manager of the Food Center grocery store, has long been active ac-tive in community affairs, serving serv-ing through the Kiwanis Club, Chamber of Commerce and Quarterback Quar-terback Club. Also an active church worker he is presently serving as Bishop of the Cedar First Ward of the Cedar Stake, and has served In many other capacities in the chui'h. His name will appear on the ballot with Kumen Gardner and Roy Urie, mayor and councilman candidates, respectively, of the Democratic party. |
