Show Explosive Ordnance Course Presented To Interested Groups An extensive course on "Explosive "Ex-plosive Ordnance Reconnaissance," Reconnais-sance," was given in Cedar City last week by the Tooele Ordnance Ord-nance Depot. Sgt Williams and Sgt. Madden Mad-den of TOD conducted the two night course which included ten hoi;rs of classroom lecture, illustrations il-lustrations and question and answer an-swer periods. A large representation of local law enforcement agencies and other Interested groups participated partici-pated In the instruction sessions including: six representatives of the Highway Patrol; three from the sheriffs office, four members of the city police department, 16 members of the Iron County Jeep Patrol, plus representatives from the Iron County Commission, civil civ-il defense, Cedar City fire department, de-partment, the Milford fire department de-partment and the Milford police department Prime objectives of the course were to consider investigation, 4 1 1 - 1 - . . . AVMV;, ic(a;ii, IUICVI and assist conserving deactivation deactiva-tion of bombs and weapons. Extensive visual aids were presented relative to particular problems and aspects of modern weapons. Problems of atomic bombs, fall out, range capabilities capabili-ties of various weapons and modern mod-ern personal weapons were covered cov-ered in the course. Classes were held at the city and county building in Cedar City. |
