Show SOCIAL SWING By Nolo Kupfer The Grant Tucker family welcomed wel-comed 1960 while visiting in Her-shey, Her-shey, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Tucker Tuck-er and their four children returned return-ed home last week after a pleas ant three-week visit with Mrs. Tucker's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Mark A. Sheeley and a brother, Mark, Jr. Canasta was played on Tue day evening as Mrs. Kenneth Wade entertained her club members. mem-bers. High score prizes were won by Mrs. Harold Bryant and Mrs. Douglas Ence. Dessert was served serv-ed by t?v t.ostess during the evening. Visiting at the Loyd Heyborne home this past wec't end was Mrs. Heyborne s mother, Mrs. Le-grand Le-grand Heaton and brother, Chad Heaton, both of Ordervllle. Entertaining a pinochle on Friday Fri-day was Mrs. Ray Duerksen. She Invited iLs. Earl Merrywcather as her special guest. High score prizes were given to Mrs. Robert Reld, Mrs. Peter Nelson and Mrs. Humbert Rosenzerg. After making her home for the past few months In Parowan, Mrs. Lovina Alger has returned to Cedar City. She will reside with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Max Heyborne. A birthday surprise party was given In honor of Mrs. Mead Forsyth For-syth on Saturday. Making the plans for the evening were Mrs. Harold Thompson and Mrs. Bill Topham. Making the party complete com-plete were Mr. and Mrs. Kent Myers, Mr. and Mrs. Van Esplin, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Stoker, husbands hus-bands of the co-hostesses, the guest of honor and Mead Forsyth. For-syth. Mrs. Garth Nelson was the hostess the past week for her pinochle club. Enjoying the evening eve-ning with the members were Leah Adams and Shauna Dur-fey. Dur-fey. High score prizes were given giv-en and a delicious luncheon was served by the hostess. Starting the New Year off right were the members of Mrs. Llnford Orton's bridge Club as they all were present when Mrs. Orton entertained on Wednesday. Wednes-day. Prizes for high schools were won by Jean Lamoreaux, Pat Sor-enson Sor-enson and Barbara Nelson. Steak dinner was the menu as Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Wade entertained enter-tained their couples group on Saturday, January 9. Meeting at Milt's for dinner the group then enjoyed an evening at the clna-ma. clna-ma. To complete their evening of fun, the group gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wade for dessert following the picture show. Week end guests at the home of Mrs. Lillian Clark were Mr. and Mrs. Ken Clark and daughter. daugh-ter. The Las Vegas family were also greeted by their son Melvln who is residing in Cedar City while he attends College of Soi :bn Utah. Miss Beth Gibson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murl Gibson, has returned to Salt Lake City where she has accepted employment.
