Show Badek Industries Unit Sold to Eastern Firm J. Thurmer Jacobs, president of Radek Industries, Inc. of Cedar Ce-dar City and St George, returned return-ed this week from the Great Lakes area, where several new models of Rodekor equipment were demonstrated. He was accompanied ac-companied on the trip by Kay G. Lambert, production manager manag-er for Radek. The largest single contract awarded Radek came from Minneapolis where a distributor dis-tributor of HI-FI Stereo Consoles selected the newest Radekor stereo ster-eo amplifier as Its main basic unit. This new pride of Radekor was designed by Mr. Lambert and after undergoing critical tests and comparisons won outstanding out-standing acclaim- from the Minneapolis Min-neapolis firm. The initial order was for 300 units with follow up shipments each week. The great-est great-est Impact felt by Radek lies in the fact that this production Is year round and will require a special assembly line for continuous contin-uous operation. After completing this transaction transac-tion Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Lambert left for Chicago where they spent two days working with other electronic firms. A national electronics distributor distrib-utor In Chicago was very enthusiastic en-thusiastic about the Radekor line and has made tentative plans to feature one or Radek's newest pieces of amateur radio devices In Its new spring catalogue with circulation of nearly half million copies throughout the world. Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Lambert were met at the Salt Lake City airport by Doyle Sampson of St. George, who has been acting as special public relations and organizational or-ganizational representative for the southern Utah firm, and Mr. Lambert left Immediately for St. George to set up production facilities fa-cilities for the new contracts while Mr. Jacobs and Mr. Sampson Samp-son spent the balance of the week In Salt Lake transacting company business.
