Show I Coordinating Council Meeting Held, Committees Report I At the regu.'ar meeting of the Parowan Coordinating Council on Tuesday evening a number of, committee reports were heard' .and other business which .came before the group was acted on, it is announced by Mrs. Fae N, Benson, coordinator. I A report was heard from the committee working for the construction con-struction of a swimming pool In Parowan, which met with the 'Iron County School Board on ' Monday. Making this report were I Howard Stubbs, chamber presl-1 dent, and Heber Gurr. The com- mittee met with the school board to urge the Incorporation o? a swimming pool in the addition to be built on the Parowan High School. The result of this meeting meet-ing is reported in the school board story in this Issue. The council named a committee commit-tee tr formulate plans far a tourist Information center to be placed in operation In Parowan during the coming tourist season. This committee will include the Chamber of Commerce advertising advertis-ing committee and members from . the local camps of the Dtughters of Utah Pioneers and the Literary Club, " ho are interested inter-ested in such an undertaking. Milt Jolley met with the council coun-cil to explain the brochure to be published soon by Iron County Coun-ty with the cooperation of the ; cities and towns of the county. A numb'.T of Parowan civic organizations or-ganizations are cooperating in the publication of the brochure Wallace Sloblom. Iron County agent, talked briefly, giving Ideas on how all groups in the community com-munity can get better results by cooperating their efforts. |
