Show NEWS NOTES FROM SUMMIT I Mrs. Donna Daren port The outstanding results of "Project Temple" was very evident evi-dent Saturday when all who took the course fought their way through blizzards and deep snow to get to St. George and attend the morning session at the temple. tem-ple. Accompanying them were the bishopric, advisors, the Instructor In-structor and wives. Also many friends and relatives from here and other communities. Those making the trip from here were Mr. and Mrs. Bart Stapley, Hy. I rum Humpherys and daughter Patricia, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White and daughter Jeanne, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fife and son Gill-man, Gill-man, Mr. and Mrs. Rodger Morton Mor-ton and daughters Yvette and Christy, Mr. and Mrs. Dee White and children Shirlynn, Craig, Annette and Carolyn; Mr. and Mrs. James Prince and daughters Renee and Denise, Mr. and Mrs. Arden Richards and daughters Kay Tucker and Myra, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet, Mr. and Mrs. Carlisle Hulet, Mr. and Mrs. De- los Dalton, Mr. and Mrs. Doe El Siapley, Bp. and Mrs. Ivan Dal-ley, Dal-ley, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport, Mr. and Mrs. J. Saturday evening the Relief Society held a reception In the ward recreation hall honoring those who completed "Project Temple." Nearly everyone from our Comunity and many relatives and friends from other places attended at-tended and enjoyed the shor4 program and buffet lunch. The Pa rowan Stake Standards Night for the Laurel girls, their mothers and the leaders was held in the Summit Ward Chapel Sunday evening under the direc- tion of the Stake Laurel leader, , Mrs. Margaret Knight, who welcomed wel-comed the large group there. Miss Shirley Farrow conducted, prelude pre-lude music was played by Jeanne White. A ipecial musical num-: num-: ber was sung by Vyonne Gibson of Enoch accompanied by Maur-I Maur-I ene Grimshaw. Mrs. Mary Dalley was the guest speaker. Delicious j refreshments were served at the close of the program. Douglas Farrow and daughter of Idaho Falls, Idaho, arrived here over the week end to visit with his brothers and sisters and to attend his aunt Molly Grim-shaw's Grim-shaw's funeral. Mr. and Mrs. James Prince and daughters spent Sunday afternoon after-noon in Gunnison. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Humpherys Hum-pherys enjoyed having their daughter Patricia and her friend Paul Scown, both of Salt Lake City, here for a few days' vt3lt Week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fife were members of Mrs. Fife's family, Mrs. Edna Bott and Mr. and Mrs. Garth Glllman of Pleasant Grove. Also Mr. Fife'a mother, Mrs. Lettle Fife of Cedar City and the Fife's son, Paul, and family of Parowan who all accompanied them to St. George Saturday. Eugene Dalley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dalley, was in St. George Saturday to attend the Seminary Youth Conference. Mrs. Carol Davis arrived here, Friday to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley, returning re-turning to her home in Richfield Mrs. Alton Clark and her father, fa-ther, Nels Madsen, of Spring-ville, Spring-ville, are spending a few days visiting here with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Marc Allton and baby daughter and Miss Francis Farrow, all of Las Vegas, spent the week end here with their folks, the Raymond Farrows. RoLayne Walker accompanied Francis back to Las Vegas and plans to spend five days there. Mr. and Mrs. Dee White en-Joyed en-Joyed having Shirley's mother,. Mrs. Idella Robinson, of Parago-nah Parago-nah and a sister and family, the Gordon Manzlones, of Tooele visit vis-it here over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Dalley and five of their children visited" with a brother. Bishop Ivan Dalley, Dal-ley, and family Sunday. |
